Bio

Earl has been happily married to his wife Pam for 30 years. They have 3 sons together and count their family a wonderful gift from the Lord. Earl and his wife have been working for the American Red Cross for over 30 years.

When Earl was 15 he formed his first band called "The Initials"; their rock and roll style landed them paid gigs. After seeing his friends have more fun dancing he quit the band and music until he was 18 and attending Appalachian State. Afterwards he served in the US Army from 1969 to 1972 and then attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and graduated with a BA in psychology. In addition he completed a music theory program at CPCC and found his influence through Mussorgsky. But his greatest influence of all was Jesus Christ, and has been writing Christ centered music for the last 40 years.

Earl's dreams of being a successful songwriter were fueled even more when he became a finalist in the Kentucky Fried Chicken national country songwriting competitions in the mid 80s. He also won several local Charlotte area competitions. Earl has written over a hundred original compositions.

You can find Earl performing at Avante Nursing home, Southside Baptist church and Grace Fellowship. You can also hear his radio show on 104.3 FM/Heaven radio here in Charlotte. The name of the show is "Grain of Faith" and it airs every Saturday at 2:30pm. The shows are based around the music I have written with narrative as to why I wrote them and the different influences that affected my walk with the Lord.
